Trains arrive and depart from the Krakow Glowny station, just a few blocks northeast of the Old Town. Direct international connections include Berlin, Hamburg, Kiev, Prague, Budapest, and Vienna. Connections to Warsaw and Wroclaw are also available from Krakow Glowny. Train schedules can be found on the Polish Railways website.
Please be aware that there have been intermittent reports of thieves on the overnight trains, so be extra vigilant, especially if you are traveling alone.
The main bus station in Krakow is located right next to the Krakow Glowny train station. Tickets can be purchased at the bus station, from the driver, or online from one of several bus companies that operates here.
Note that at the time of writing, the shuttle bus to Wieliczka Salt Mines does not leave from Krakow Glowny, but rather from a stop right outside of the main post office a few blocks away.
